Youths in Ohaneze Ndigbo has joined the wing of call for the prompt release of Sowore who was the convener of RevolutionNow protest.
It rebuked the the Federal Government for interrupting the protest, saying it was not to interrupt its agenda.
This was conymtained in a statement released by the leader of the group, Amb. Dr.Arthur Uchenna Obiorah on Thursday. The group said the detention of Sowore fell below international standard.
It asked the leaders to read in between lines to know the protest demands in the interest cof the country.
The statement reads” we refute the claim that the protest intention is to upset the government agenda”.
“The government should read in between the lines to decode the message behind the nation agitation”.
We request the unconditional release of the Presidential candidate of the Africa Action Congress(ACC), Omoyele Sowore whoses detentiondetention by the men of DSS , has falling below international standard that allows freedom of association, expression and assemblage of menof like minds.
The nation is in dire need of national conference where most of the questions highlighted by Sowore are considered for implementation.
The clamour for the #RevolutionNow by Nigerians should be well thought now.
It is an avenue where Nigerians can pour out their minds in the state of the nation in protest of what they feel is not wright within the context of universal coverage.
The youth leader therefore called on the presidency to consider the earlier request by the southern and middle belt leaders in restructuring a nation that would give powers to the the Feldration uints
