Alejandro Garnacho does CR7’s ‘Calma’ celebration after scoring for Man United

Alejandro Garnacho once again displayed his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo with a goal celebration reminiscent of the Portuguese superstar.

After an impressive goal against Everton, Garnacho secured a spot in Manchester United’s starting lineup for their match against Galatasaray in the Champions League.

The team, under Ten Hag’s leadership, understood the criticality of securing a victory, having only won one out of their first four group stage matches.

While Bayern has already advanced to the last 16 in Group A, the final spot for advancement is fiercely contested among United, Galatasaray, and Danish side Copenhagen.

Garnacho opens the scoring

Manchester United quickly took the lead on Wednesday, November 29, as Garnacho capitalized on space within the box, delivering a powerful shot past goalkeeper Fernando Muslera for his inaugural Champions League goal. This achievement followed notable teamwork from Scot McTominay.

The young Argentine forward has now netted his second goal within consecutive games and notably reprised his second Cristiano Ronaldo-inspired celebration in a short span.

He said, via Twitch:

“It’s good that he is his idol, respect for that, but then he has to make his name,”

“How are you going to celebrate a goal and remember it? I don’t know, celebrate it another way.”
