Arsenal’s Nigeria-born youngster, Ethan Nwaneri makes Premier League history as Gunners beat Brentford to reclaim top spot

Arsenal ace, Ethan Nwaneri has made Premier League history as the Gunners convincingly defeated Brentford 3-0 at the Gtech Community Stadium on Sunday afternoon, Newspremises has learnt.

Nwaneri who made his Arsenal debut on Sunday, became the youngest player ever to play in the English Premier League.

The Nigerian-born youngster replaced Fabio Vieira in stoppage time making his first Premier League appearance at 15 years and 181 days old.

William Saliba opened the scoring with a flicked, near-post header from Bukayo Saka’s corner in the 17th minute.

Gabriel Jesus doubled Arsenal’s advantage with another header from Granit Xhaka’s cross two minutes before the half hour mark.

The Gunners continued their dominance after the break with Vieira riffling a stunning effort in off the post from 25 yards out.

Mikel Arteta’s side moved to top position a point clear of Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur following the win.
