‘Better than Uzoho?’ Chiamaka Nnadozie Celebrates CAF best goalie award with penalty save, help Paris FC defeat Real Madrid in historic win (video)

Nigerian goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie played a pivotal role in guiding Paris FC to their maiden victory in the UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage, Newspremises reports.

Nnadozie’s exceptional performance included a crucial penalty save during their 2-1 triumph over Real Madrid.

Recognized as the top women’s goalkeeper at the CAF Awards just days before, Nnadozie’s stellar display contributed significantly to Paris FC’s success.

The team secured their first Group D win by netting two rapid first-half goals, with Real Madrid managing to pull one back in the second half.

In a widely circulated video on social media, Nnadozie exhibited her skill by stopping a powerful penalty shot from Olga Carmona, denying Real Madrid a potential equalizer in France.

The scoring opened for the French side through Julie Dufour’s goal in the 4th minute, swiftly followed by Gaetane Thiney doubling the advantage two minutes later.

Although Caroline Moller managed to score a consolation goal for Real Madrid early in the second half, Nnadozie’s heroics ensured Paris FC claimed the victory.

Expressing her delight on social media, the goalkeeper shared, “What a Champions League night—an important win at home, a great fight from the whole team. To our amazing fans, thank you so much.”

Nnadozie had previously showcased her talent during the FIFA Women’s World Cup in August, aiding the Super Falcons in reaching the round of 16. Despite their exit in a penalty shootout against eventual runners-up England, her contributions were notable during the tournament.
