Brentford 4:0 Man United: Brentford smash four past helpless Manchester United in just 35 minutes

In his second game in charge of Manchester United, Erik Ten Hag’s start to life in the Premier League took a turn for the worst, Newspremises reports.

Manchester United went to Brentford in an effort to atone for their embarrassing 2-1 loss to Brighton.

But in just 35 minutes of the first half, the Bees stung their more famed opponents, giving the 20-time Premier League champions the shock of their life.

The nightmare afternoon for the Red Devils began with a David De Gea gaffe as the Spanish goalkeeper spilled a long Josh DaSilva shot into the goal.

It turned out to be the spark that allowed Brentford to unleash its attacking venom on a hapless United set-up.

Eight minutes later, Mathias Jensen was there to double the advantage for the home team after seizing on a loose ball inside the area.

At the halfway point, Ben Mee’s composed header into the goal will make things worse for United.

After just 35 minutes, Bryan Mbuemo, who recently transferred his international allegiance to Cameroon, scored the fourth goal to put the game beyond Man United’s control.
