The England fans voted Bukayo Saka their Player of the Match after his performance against Austria on Wednesday night, Newspremises reports.
Saka was one of the more creative players in the team during the match, making three chances first international goal ensured that England’s summer got off to a winning start against Austria at Middlesbrough’s Riverside Stadium on Wednesday night.
Saka, 19, turned the ball into an empty net from a tight angle to complete an impressive performance for Gareth Southgate’s side. England’s night ended on something of a sour note, however, when Trent Alexander-Arnold was forced off injured late on.
England will next face Romania on Sunday before they finally get their Euro 2020 campaign underway against Croatia next week.
