Carlo Ancelotti confirms Casemiro decision as midfielder said his goodbyes to team-mates

Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Casemiro has informed him about his decision to quit the Spanish club to join Manchester United this summer, Newspremises reports.

Casemiro is expected to complete his summer move to Manchester United this week in a transfer fee that could rise to €70million.

Although Ancelotti admitted that talented midfielder wants to try a new challenge, he confirmed that nothing has been official yet between both clubs.

Speaking about the midfielder’s future, the Italian boss said: “I’ve talked to Casemiro. He wants to try a new challenge — we have to respect his desire. Nothing is official but it is his will [to leave].”

He also confirmed that the midfielder won’t be part of the squad for this weekend’s La Liga clash, saying: “Casemiro will not play on Saturday. Replacement? We have signed Tchouaméni and he’s one of the best on the market. Then we have Kroos and Camavinga.”

“Yesterday I realised it was a real thing [Casemiro to Manchester United]. My plans won’t change,” he added.

The 30-year-old, who is expected to sign a four-year deal with The Red Devils if everything goes as planned, only trained with his Real Madrid‘s team-mates for the first 15 minutes and left the training ground after he had gave his goodbyes to his team-mates in the dressing room, El Chiringuito reported.

The same report claims that the Brazilian players in the Real Madrid dressing room were the first to know about Casemiro’s decision to say yes to a move to Manchester United.

United aren’t stopping there. They are also keen on signing a versatile forward, a right-back, another midfielder and a back-up goalie.
