Check out Chelsea’s incredible UCL record over FC Porto ahead of their quarter final clashes

It is no longer news that the UEFA champions league quarter finals draws have been made today and qualified clubs have been drawn against each other, with each of the team already known their opponent for the next stage.

Chelsea football club of England have been drawn against Sergio Conceicao’s FC Porto team for the next round after the Portuguese giant eliminated Italian Serie A champion, Juventus on away goal rules in the round of 16.

Chelsea will face FC Porto in the Quarter-Finals of the UEFA champions league. Certainly not an easy draw, but the best one on paper. The last time Chelsea played a Portuguese team in the Quarter-Finals was 2012 when they won the trophy against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.

The Thomas Tuchel’s side ahead of the clash will be confident going into the game as they’ve had a perfect record against FC Porto in European competition.

Chelsea have won each of their four previous home games against Porto – all coming in the Champions league – their best 💯% winning-ratio on home soil against any side across all European competition.

With the draws made, there is likely to be a repeat of 2012 history should Chelsea make it past FC Porto and either of Real Madrid or Liverpool in the semi-final, and Bayern Munich also making it through from Paris Saint Germain and either of Manchester City or Borussia Dortmund in the semi-final.

Chelsea ahead of the clash will be hoping to fix things under control and be optimistic to get their current run of form going till then.
