The Ballon d’Or is the most precious individual accolade that every player dreams to win. With two Chelsea players already in the top 20 player list of the latest Ballon d’Or power ranking, a win against Manchester City in today’s UCL final will further boost their chances of becoming the first Chelsea player to have the award.
N’Golo Kante–7th

Unshaken from his last position from the last power ranking, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner contributed only one assist in the concluded premier league season but his overall display earned him a shot to this coveted award. Missing the Blues final EPL match against Aston Villa, his absence was felt as Villa gunned down Chelsea 2-1. With Kante now fully fit their chances of lifting the UCL trophy are high which will subsequently raise his position from 7th spot and probably winning the accolade come December.
Mason Mount–19th

Despite dropping down the ranking from the 16th position, the Blues youngster still have much on store to showcase tonight when they face Pep Guardiola’s side. With nine goals, three assists, and Chelsea’s player of the year a win tonight will boost his positional ranking although finishing in top ten seems unlikely given his current position.
