Cristiano Ronaldo in shock return to Sporting Lisbon from Manchester United

Manchester United wantaway striker, Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly exploring the possibility of returning to his boyhood club Sporting Lisbon, Newspremises has learnt.

Ronaldo, during his crunch talks with Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag in the presence of Alex Ferguson on Thursday, at the club’s Carrington training base, reiterated his desire to leave Old Trafford this summer but, executives continue to insist he is not for sale.

After the meeting, it is felt like the primary objective for the 37-year-old wishing to quit Manchester United is to spend the 2022/23 season at a Champions League club so he can cement his scoring record in the competition, according to The Atlantic.
