Super Eagles forward, Umar Sadiq was on Thursday, September 1, flown in a private jet as he head to Spain for his medicals ahead of his transfer to Real Sociedad, Newspremises reports.
Sadiq was said to have arrived at Real Sociedad alongside his childhood friend, Nura Muhammad, they both played together in AS Roma.
The Nigeria international became a target for the Real Sociedad after the spanish club sold Alexander Isak to Newcastle United, while they re-signed Alexander Sorloth on loan from RB Leipzig.
The La Liga outfit are expected to splash around €20m to sign Sadiq who was instrumental in Almeria’s promotion-winning campaign last season.
The 25-year-old is one step close to completing a permanent transfer to Real Sociedad.
He was reportedly expected to join another LaLiga club, Villarreal but the Yellow Submarine failed to meet up with Almeria’s valuation.
