Al-Nassr created a buzz by unveiling their 2024 tour in China, featuring a promotional video showcasing Cristiano Ronaldo’s command of the Chinese language.
Scheduled during the FIFA international break in January, the Knights of Najd have arranged two friendly matches in the East Asian nation.
According to Arab News, Ronaldo and his teammates are slated to depart for China on January 19, embarking on a 10-day excursion comprising two matches.
The team’s inaugural fixture is set against Shanghai Shenhua on January 24 at the Shenzhen Stadium, followed by a subsequent clash against Zhejiang on January 28, also at the same venue.
Post their engagements in China, the squad plans to return to Riyadh to resume their commitments in the Saudi Pro League.
Preceding their journey, Al-Nassr seeks to narrow the gap with league leaders Al-Hilal, taking on Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq on December 22, as reported by Sofascore. They will then conclude the 2023 SPL campaign with a match against Al-Taawoun on December 30.
Ronaldo speaks impressive Chinese
Ahead of the upcoming tour, the club from Riyadh unveiled its intentions through a promotional video released on its verified social media platforms.
Key members of the first-team squad, including Anderson Talisca, Otavio, and Marcelo Brozovic, eagerly conveyed their excitement about the forthcoming trip to China.
Nevertheless, it was Ronaldo’s impressive fluency in Chinese that stole the spotlight, capturing the admiration and affection of fans, causing a significant stir across various social media platforms.
