“He is not 19”: Ferdinand Jokes at Bellingham’s age after his impressive performance against Senegal at the World Cup

England easily defeated the Teranga Lions of Senegal 3-0 on Sunday, December 4, to advance to the quarterfinals of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup, Newspremises understands.

Liverpool, captain Jordan Henderson scored the game’s first goal for the Three Lions, but Jude Bellingham gave him an outstanding assist.

According to Sky Sports, Bellingham was a rock in the middle for England and further demonstrated why Birmingham retired his jersey after moving to Dortmund after just 44 games.

And former England defender, Rio Ferdinand cracked a joke about the player not being 19 and asking to see his birth certificate after the game in Bellingham.

Is Bellingham older than 19?

Since making his debut at age 14 for Birmingham City’s under-18 team, Jude Bellingham has defied his years. At age 16, he was called up to the senior team.

It is doubtful whether he is truly 19 because he is mature beyond his years in terms of his physical, mental, and tactical abilities. There is no reason to doubt that he is the age he claims to be; he was born in England in 2003.

Ferdinand’s remarks were obviously all a joke and intended to express his amazement at his level of performance given his age.
