“He was lucky”– Sergio Aguero once again devalued the quality of goals scored by Cristiano Ronaldo for Real Madrid

Manchester City legend, Sergio Aguero has once again devalued the quality of goals scored by Cristiano Ronaldo for Real Madrid.

Ronaldo scored a total of 450 goals in 438 appearances to become Los Blancos’ record goal-scorer.

The Portugal captain led the Spanish giants to win four UEFA Champions League titles and two La Liga trophies, among other honours.

Aguero rates Ronaldo’s goals low

During his nine-year stint at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, Ronaldo netted some sensational goals including long-range shots, bicycle kicks, solo runs, counter-attacking goals, and more.

However, the former Manchester City forward, Aguero looked unimpressed when watching a compilation of some of Ronaldo’s best goals on Spanish streaming giant, Ibai Llanos’ Twitch channel.

The Argentine even claimed two Real Madrid icons bagged better goals for the 14-time European champions.

“Raul [Gonzalez] and [Karim] Benzema have scored better goals for Madrid than Cristiano Ronaldo,” Aguero said via The Madrid Zone.

Aguero previously claimed the outstanding goals scored by the Al-Nassr skipper were simply down to strokes of luck.

“Was lucky,” Aguero said, as translated by Sportskeeda.

He even added that Ronaldo’s 40-yard strike against FC Porto in the Champions League in 2008 was the goalkeeper’s fault.

Aguero’s comment has since convinced social media users that he was ‘hating’ on the Portuguese veteran – small wonder Messi calls him a friend!
