However, the supposed partnership hit the rock in an ironic event as Aboubakar was brutally fired by Al-Nassr to make room for Cristiano Ronaldo, who was signed by the team earlier this week.
The Saudi Arabia club made the choice to part ways with Aboubakar because they needed to make room in their roster because they had used up all of their foreign players, according to SportBible.
The Cameroonian was rumored to be on the verge of signing a loan deal with Manchester United, who are in desperate need of a forward following Ronaldo’s contentious exit.
Amid the ongoing situation at Al-Nassr, many football fanatics, particularly on the African continent, took to social media to register their displeasure with Aboubakar’s exit.
