It’s a shame you left Real Madrid for Manchester United, I’m sad – Modric slams Casemiro

Lukas Modric has hit out at his team-mate, Casemiro for leaving Real Madrid for Manchester United describing his decision as a shame, Newspremises reports.

Modric admitted that he was sad to see Casemiro depart Los Blancos to join the Red Devils , adding that the LaLiga champions will miss him.

The 30-year-old talented midfielder officially left Real Madrid to join the Premier League giants on Friday.

The Brazilian international, who played alongside Modric and Toni Kroos at Real Madrid, forming a strong midfield triangle, signed a four-year deal with the option of an additional year with Manchester United.

Speaking to DAZN after Real Madrid defeated Celta Vigo 4-1 in a LaLiga tie on Saturday night, Modric lamented Casemiro’s exit.

“The Casemiro thing is a shame, we have made history with him, he has been a fundamental piece for us and we are going to miss him a lot, as a player and a person.

“This is part of football, I am sad to see him go, but we have to keep going without him and each player has to give even more in terms of the things he did,” Modric said.
