Jadon Sancho is reportedly on the verge of being axed by Manchester United following his recent public outburst with Erik ten Hag, Newspremises understands.
Sancho was not part of Manchester United’d squad that travelled to Emirates to face Arsenal on Saturday afternoon.
When asked why Sancho was dropped during a post match interview, ten Hag disclosed that, he had to drop the Englishman because he didn’t impress at training.
However, Sancho took to social media to defend himself, claiming there ‘are other reasons’, why he was dropped that are not related to his performances in training.
“I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue,” Sancho posted as cited by Romano Fabrizio. “I have conducted myself in training very well in training.”
“I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into. l’ve been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair! All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team,” he added.
Sancho’s future at Manchester United
According to the Mirror, Sancho is allegedly facing the prospect of being expelled from Manchester United after his public outburst with ten Hag.
The England publication claimed that ten Hag has carved a niche for himself as an arch-disciplinarian who punishes players who undermine him.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcus Rashford are some of the players who have previously suffered the wrath of the Dutchman.
Ronaldo had his contract at Old Trafford terminated after he public decleared that that he had no respect for the former Ajax manager.
On his own part, Rashford was dropped for a match after he reportedly turned up late for a team meeting.
Meanwhile, Sancho has yet to hit the ground running since he joined United from Borussia Dortmund under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
