Man Utd legend Ferdinand said Chelsea star needs to improve on his feet after Leeds draw

Despite keeping another clean sheet with an impressive display Man United legend Rio Ferdinand highlights were Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy must improve on his game.

Ferdinand whose said he was impressed with the goalkeeper display since he arrived at the club, also identified his weakness when speaking after the Blue played 0-0 with Leeds United.

Petr Cech is one of those who advise the club to sign the Senegal International since Kepa Arrizabalaga keeps struggling in the club, and Mendy has already sealed the No1 spots since he joined Chelsea.

Ferdinand told BT Sport.

“Mendy is a goalkeeper who keeps the confidence of defenders when they made a mistake that he will surely make the save and pull them out of the bad situation and he does that.

“I think he’s got a real commanding presence. With his feet I think he’ll improve, he needs to. But everything else in terms of a goalkeeper the most important thing is saving the ball, I think he’s very sound.”
