Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero is reportedly set to return to the football field after he was forced to bid farewell to his professional football career in December 2021 after being diagnosed with a heart condition.
Although Aguero wanted to participate, including in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, his health did not allow it.
However, Aguero was in Qatar from the beginning to the end of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. And he also participated in the celebrations of the World Cup winning Argentina team.
The former Barcelona forward is now preparing to return to action for the Noche Amarilla friendly on January 28.
The former Argentina striker will play for Barcelona SC in the upcoming friendly match between Barcelona SC and Orense SC. Previously, Ronaldinho, Diego Forlan, Kaka, Andrea Pirlo, Alessandro Del Piero, Javier Mascherano and Carlos Tevez have all played as guest legends in the Noche Amarilla friendly. Sergio Aguero also talked about getting ready to play for Barcelona SC.
“I’m looking forward to Noche Amarilla, I want to have fun and spend good time with the fans of Barcelona SC. I’ve been checked by the cardiologist, I’m very well and I’ve already started training. So I can play in Noche Amarilla. To have fun and feel the pitch again I hope so,” said Sergio Aguero.
Aguero also spoke about why he decided to play at Noche Amarilla in Ecuador. “I went to eat in Qatar, where I was watching Ecuador’s first game of the World Cup. Some fans of Barcelona SC recognized me and they asked me to come to Noche Amarilla,” Aguero said.
The Noche Amarilla friendly is actually a one-day exhibition match at ‘Yellow Night’ as Barcelona Sporting Club’s presentation day.
