The premier league is one of the toughest football leagues in the world and certainly the most watched football league in the world. The intensity of games in the premier league makes it so unpredictable as there are players that can cause upset and even surprise fans at any time.
As much as there are talented players(defenders, midfieders and forwards) in the premier league, there are also outstanding goalkeepers that can pull off mind-blowing saves at anytime as well. Goalkeepers such as Ederson of Man City, Allison Becker, Mendy and David De Gea have proven to be among the best goalies in the world, but there is this goalkeeper that stands out of them all who in my own opinion is the best goalkeeper in the premier league.
That goalkeeper is Aston Villa’s Emilo Martinez. The 28 years old Argentine International has proven to be one of the best goalies in the EPL now as he sits in 2nd on the clean sheet chat with 13 clean sheets to his name already this season, just two clean sheets behind Manchester City’s goalkeeper Ederson Moreas.
Martinez who has kept for Arsenal before has been very outstanding for Aston Villa this season, not because of his record but he has saved them multiple times and also act as a motivation to the team.
Emilo Martinez is so underated and he seems to be the best goalkeeper In the premier league to me. As the season goes on, he will look to equal Ederson’s numbers and hopefully win the golden glove.
