Al-Hilal forward Odion Ighalo has been ranked Nigeria’s best striker ahead of in form Napoli striker, Victor Osihmen for the year 2022 according to new statistics.
International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) rated the former Manchester United forward ahead of Osimhen.
It doesn’t matter because Osimhen has also been in outstanding form for his Italian team, scoring goals that kept them atop Serie A.
Kylian Mbappe of France, who plays for Ligue 1 team Paris Saint-Germain, tops the list with 56 goals in 56 games.
Erling Haaland of Norway, who scored 46 goals, is in second place behind Mbappe, and Bergson, German Cano, and Robert Lewandowski round out the top five scorers for 2022.
