PFA Players’ Player of the Year: Here are four possible nominees for the 2020-21 season

The Professional Footballers’ Association Men’s Players’ Player of the Year (PFA Men’s Players’ Player of the Year) is an award that goes to the best player of the year in the top-flight league in English football.

So far, the 2020-21 season has been quite interesting with Manchester City already 10 points clear of Manchester United and Leicester City. The league leaders currently have 59 points compare to United and Leicester, who both have 49 points respectively.


With the 2020-21 Premier League season ending in May, here are the four possible nominees for the PFA Players’ Player of the Year for the 2020-21 season.

NAME: Bruno Fernandes

CLUB: Manchester United

POSITION: Attacking midfielder

AGE: 26

Since arriving at Old Trafford, the Portuguese Midfielder has been the most impactful player in the squad. He became the first player in Premier League history to win the player of the Month award’ four times in the same calendar year just last month and is currently the second top scorer in the league with 15 goals so far.

Bruno Fernandes is obviously going to be among the nominees for the PFA Players’ Player of the Year.

NAME: İlkay Gündoğan

CLUB: Manchester City

POSITION: Attacking midfielder

AGE: 30

The German midfielder is currently in his form of life. He scored five goals in January as his club took charge of the Premier League title race. He is currently the highest goal scorer at the club with 11 goals in his last 13 Premier League appearances for the club.

NAME: Tomáš Souček

CLUB: West Ham United

POSITION: Midfielder

AGE: 25

In recent games for his club, Souček has delivered exceptional display. He’s played a crucial part in the recent results which have helped the Hammers cement themselves up in the table premier league table. The Czech international is currently the highest goal scorer at his club with eight goals.

NAME: James Maddison

CLUB: Leicester City

POSITION: Attacking Midfielder

AGE: 24

James Maddison is currently one of the most exciting talents in English football. He has eight goals and five assists so far. He’s played a major part in helping his team moved into four-top in a bid to secure Champions League football.

Manchester City midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne, won the previous PFA Players’ Player of the Year for his outstanding performance in the 2019-20 season.
