Real Madrid threatens to terminate contract of club’s most expensive signing Eden Hazard

Real Madrid are reportedly tired of Eden Hazard’s ongoing injury issues and Belgian could be on the verge of departing as soon as January, Newspremises reports.

Since joining the Spanish champions in 2019 in a club-record deal for €115 million from Chelsea, Hazard has struggled to match his finest performance.

Sportskeeda reports that Florentino Perez, the president of Real Madrid, has lost faith in Hazard and thinks the former Blues star has made little progress this year.

To get rid of the Belgian as soon as possible, Perez has started making plans to fire him either in January or at the end of the season.

The Real Madrid president is considering the possibility of releasing Hazard on mutual consent as he is satisfied with saving his high salary, which is around €15 million per year.

Hazard booed by Madrid fans

As a result of yet another lackluster performance, Eden Hazard was jeered off the field by Real Madrid fans during the team’s Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk, according to The Sun.

After repeatedly giving the ball away, Real Madrid fans booed the former Chelsea player, who was then replaced by Carlo Ancelotti in the 57th minute.

Only one of Real Madrid’s La Liga games this season saw Hazard start, and he has only made three league appearances for the league champions.
