Senegal forward Sadio Mane resumes gym work as he nears injury recovery

Bayern Munich striker Sadio Mane is getting closer to his injury comeback after he recently started his workout routine at the club , Newspremises reports.

The Senegal forward missed the 2022 FIFA World Cup due to an injury he sustained in November.

After spending a few months on the sidelines, Mane’s recuperation continues. In an effort to rejoin his colleagues for the second phase of the season, he began active workout this week.


The 30-year-old is expected to return in time for the start of the UEFA Champions League after missing the final four games before the World Cup break.

The Senegalese star joined the Bundesliga champions in the summer transfer window from English giants, Liverpool after winning a double in the last season.

Mane guide the Teranga Lions to their first ever Africa Cup of Nations triumph, and was crowned the Africa’s Player of the Year 2022 in Cameroon.

His absence at the World Cup was visibly identified as Senegal suffered round of 16 elimination at the hands of England.
