Shakhtar Donetsk’s social media manager has shockly mocked Arsenal supporters as the saga over Mykhailo Mudryk continued.
This occurs at a time when Chelsea and Shakhtar are said to have verbally agreed that Chelsea would pay over 100 million euros to sign the winger.
Mudryk was said to be a top target for Arsenal but the the two clubs are yet to agree on a transfer deal.
Italian football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano however, disclosed that Arsenal had submitted a transfer fee of 70 million euros for the talented winger which was being evaluated. He later reported that Chelsea’s board had flown to Poland to hijack the move from their London rivals.
Mudryk has been offered a seven-year contract by the West Londoners.
Shakhtar’s tease on Arsenal
Shakhtar toy with Arsenal supporters on Saturday, January 13 by luring them with a reported piece of major news. Arsenal supporters flocked to the comments section in anticipation of learning that Mudryk’s transfer had been agreed upon by the two clubs.
“We prepared some news for you today,” started off the admin.
” Seems like it’s time to reveal the first piece…”
Turns out, the admin was preparing to reveal which games Shakhtar will have during their training camp in Turkey.
But the admin wasn’t done. He/she revealed that there was more news coming up, but first, the page had to reach 51,000 followers.
“There are more interesting stuff coming up
We are ready to share another piece of news as soon as our page reaches 51 thousand subscribers.”
Arsenal fans perhaps thought this was it. The admin even went a step further and tweeted a standalone tweet of “Mudryk?” But it wasn’t.
Shakhtar’s tour of Turkey
It turned out that the administrator was getting ready to announce that Mudryk had won the club’s player of the month award.
“The head coach congratulated the midfielder on winning the Player of the Year award according to fans and presented him with a corresponding trophy “
The Gunners fans were not happy with the admin’s click-baiting tactics. They will also be far from happy if Mudryk completes the move to Chelsea.
