Solskjaer reveals his plans for Cavani after signing in-form Ronaldo

Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani is yet to start a game for Manchester United this season, and his only appearance was when he came off the bench for 37 minutes in the 1-0 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

In his stead, summer signing Cristiano Ronaldo has been very impressive and has scored 3 goals in two appearances.

One would wonder how Solskjaer would use Cavani due to the presence of Ronaldo, and the United boss has quality options in Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho for the wide positions.

Solskjaer has revealed that he’s happy with the squad depth and has backed Cavani to have a huge impact this season.

“We’ve got a strong squad that can cope with having to let players heal and don’t risk any further injuries,” said the Manchester United boss.

“I see Edinson having a massive impact because he’s that kind of personality and a player, he’s a top professional and he can’t wait to get back on, he’s working really hard to get back on the pitch.”
