Legendary goalkeeper, Vicente Enyeama revealed that he will like to the Nigeria Professional Football League(NPFL), where he made his name before he hanging up his gloves from the round leather game, Newspremises reports.
Enyeama has been without a club following his departure from French side Lille, but the Nigerian has been training on his own so as to make sure that he is fit.
Years back in the Nigerian League, Vincent Enyeama made history as he won the CAF Champions League two times with Enyimba of Aba before he moved to Israel.
Vincent Enyeama’s superb performances then at Enyimba also helped him to move to the national team where he featured in more than 100 games for the Super Eagles.
According to Vanguard, Enyeama claimed that he would love to join a team ready to take him just for five months.
Vincent Enyeama’s reaction about returning to NPFL
“It’s really interesting, yes it is, and I miss football.
“So I would like to return to it, first with a team here in France, because I trained here in Lille and back when I was in Akwa Ibom.
“And I will come back to Nigeria next year. So if Akwa United needs a goalkeeper for 4-5 months, yes, I have the opportunity to play for free.”
