Super Eagles forward, Taiwo Awoniyi has shared an incredible testimony in church days after helping Nottingham Forest avoid relegation from the Premier League in the just concluded 2022/23 season.
The Nigerian striker was outstanding in his first season with Forest, scoring 10 goals. He was a key factor in his team’s ability to secure their place in the English Premier League for another year.
His outstanding performance helped his team defeat Arsenal, which was the game that helped Forest escaped from relegation.
The Kwara-born striker also scored against Liverpool and Chelsea.
According to a video sighted on Twitter by Newspremises, Awoniyi was seen thanking God and Joshua Selman for helping his football career.
Awoniyi shares a powerful testimony
”The day I was privileged to see Pastor Joshua Selman, he prayed for me and that was the turning point of my life. Every time I used to listen to Daddy’s sermon and that has really helped.
”Before the season ended, I went for revival for two days in which I told my wife that I won’t be at home and I am that we escaped relegation.”
Meanwhile, Awoniyi is expected to move to Kwara State where he will witness the final of the Unicorn Academy football tournament.
