Two Reasons Why Real Madrid Will Humble Liverpool At Anfield In Their Second Leg Quarter Finals

Real Madrid is set to take on Liverpool in their second leg quarter finals of the UCL encounter.

The match is scheduled to take place at Anfield as Liverpool play host to Real Madrid.

The centrer referee is Bijorn kuipers from Netherlands.

The first leg ended with a goals aggregate of 3-1 in favour of the visitors with goals scored by Vinicius Junior(2) and Marco Asencio(1) for the visitors and Mohamed Saleh(1) for Liverpool.

Liverpool have a great deal of work to so as they will be defending on one hand so as not to allow the visitors to increase their goals tally and at the same time will be all out aiming for more goals to keep them in the tournament.

They had suffered a defeat at away with less goals as this competition embraces goals aggregate as a standard.

So it will be a struggling match for the host as pressure is much on them.

At the same time, Madrid won’t stop at nothing in scoring in the up coming encounter. In fact they understand that at this point away goals counts a lot. Having therefore this opportunity they’ll stop at nothing to utilise it.

However, these are the two reasons why Real Madrid will humble Liverpool at An field:

Head to head advantage

The two teams have met 6 rimes in the past from 2014 to 2021 which happens to be their first leg encounter. In all these 6 meetings Madrid have won 4 times leaving Liverpool with just two.

The last time that met Madrid won.

Madrid therefore has a higher win percentage over Liverpool and will stop at nothing to extend this lead even as they had started in the first leg.

Madrid is a determined side and is going into the game tough and focussed without much pressure.

Liverpool as earlier said is going into the tournament with so much pressure. They are to defend by stopping the opponent from scoring more goals and at the same time they must go out to score to win. Double pressure for the time it has turned out to be and an unfortunate one in deed.

Their current form

Real Madrid is in top form at this stage of their engagement in the tournament whereas Liverpool has had a rather dramatic moment at all competition.

Real Madrid is in second position in La Liga league table. They have not lost any game in their past 10 games in all competitions. They have won 8 of their matches and have drawn 2 losing none.

Liverpool on the other hand is on the 6th position in the EPL and have just won 6 out of their last 10 games and have lost 4.

Madrid’s top form is in no wise manner compared to that of Liverpool. Little wonder they they were treated to a 3-1 defeat I’m the first leg.

With this current form, Madrid is set to humble Liverpool in this second leg.
