Video: Watch Sadio Mane terrible penalty miss for Al-Nassr in Cristiano Ronaldo’s absence

Senegalese star, Sadio Mane endured a challenging first half while playing for Al Nassr on Friday, April 19, in a Saudi Pro League match held at the King Saud University Stadium, also known as Al-Awwal Park.

The forward’s evening took a downturn when he missed a penalty by sending the ball over the crossbar against Al Feiha.

This miss occurred shortly after Mane received a yellow card. His penalty miss could have leveled the score for his team, who were trailing after an earlier goal by Fashion Sakala for Al Feiha.

According to Sport Star, Cristiano Ronaldo was absent from the squad due to a two-game suspension he received for elbowing an opponent in their prior 2-1 defeat to Al-Hilal in the Saudi Super Cup semifinals.

Al Nassr equalized in the 72nd minute thanks to Abdulelah El-Amri, who capitalized on an assist from former Manchester United left-back Alex Telles.

Mane redeemed himself by scoring two goals in quick succession in the 76th and 82nd minutes, with assists from Otavio and Al-Khaibari.

The match witnessed late drama as Sakala received a red card and was sent off. Despite this, Al Nassr emerged victorious with a 3-1 scoreline, solidifying their position in second place in the league standings with 68 points from 28 games.
