Contrary to reports suggesting that Borussia Dortmund wants to sign Umar Sadiq from Almeria, Spanish giants Villarreal have submitted an offer bid for the Nigeria striker.
According to Spanish publication, Football Espana the Yellow Submarine have tabled a bid in the region of €25m for the forward.
Sadiq’s club, Almeria, which will also compete in the Spanish top-flight following their promotion from the Segunda Division last season are however looking to sell the player for €30m.
Bundesliga giants, Borussia Dortmund are also reportedly interested in Sadiq.
Villarreal have been chasing the former AS Roma striker all through the ongoing summer transfer window.
Unai Emery’s side is looking to offload Paco Alcacer and Boulaye Dia.
The UEFA Champions League semi-finalists are expected to up their bid for Sadiq before the transfer window shuts.
Sadiq has scored 41 goals and recorded 19 assists since joining Almeria from Serbian club, Partizan Belgrade two years ago.
