Apparently, the Thomas Tuchel’s side don’t want to rush things in this summer window transfer, as they are taking their time in scouting for the ideal players, who would elevate their all round performances. And, the Blues gaffer himself has already confirmed that, the club will only sign 2/3 new players.
Undoubtedly, there are many brilliant, experienced and talented players, at Stamford Bridge. So, Chelsea just have to find the missing piece to equip their squad. And, they have been linked with some footballers of their choice. However, which one of the players below could take the Blues stats, to a new level in 2021-2022?
Adama Traoré; apparently, the Wolverhampton wizard is on Chelsea’s radar for this summer, as Thomas Tuchel is looking for an aggressive winger. Of course, the likes of Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic and Callum Hudson-Odoi are great players, but none of them can get pass the opponents like the Spaniard.
Traoré is indeed a brilliant dribbler who has a very dangerous skill, and the Blues need such a player to boost their frontline. Statistically, only Lionel Messi and Neymar has better dribbling skills than him, in Europe top-5 leagues. Definitely, he would have an amazing link-up play, with Timo Werner in the front.
Erling Haaland; the Blues have already ruled out of bringing Romelu Lukaku, to Stamford Bridge, and it doesn’t look like Harry Kane will leave Tottenham Spurs, because Daniel Levy won’t allow him. Thus, Chelsea are left with the Norwegian baller, as their only option as regards signing a top striker.
The Norway international is everything they lack in their squad, having missed out on many chances this campaign. With Haaland in the team, Kai Havertz will play as an attacking midfielder, as their partnership would win Chelsea many trophies with his footwork and positioning.
Declan Rice; without being biased, N’Golo Kante is the only consistent player from the midfield, and he usually overworks himself. Therefore, the club believe that the West Ham United’s defensive midfielder, possess all the qualities to play alongside with the Frenchman.
Regarding this season overall stats, the Thomas Tuchel’s men don’t have enough capacity to withstand pressure from the opponents, at the midfield and they play out of control in the absence of Kante. Rice is an all round baller, having got linked with Manchester united as well. Certainly, he’s able and capable to improve the Blues result.
Achraf Hakimi; it looks like César Azpilicueta ain’t in Thomas Tuchel’s plan for next season, as they have been linked with another youngster as a backup for Recce James. The Moroccan would surely bolster the right-back spot, most particularly when playing along with his country-man.
The Englishman and Ziyech do have an amazing combination, but the two Morocco internationals could make Chelsea unstoppable, like they always play together in the National Team. Hakimi is a promising full-back as he’s better than James in some areas.
