Your talent, strength hurt them – Drogba sends message to Chelsea’s Lukaku after he was racially abused by Juventus fans

Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba has sent a message to Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku, after Juventus supporters racially abused him during the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final.

Drogba said that the Begium striker’s talent and strength hurt the Juventus fans.


Speaking on the development, Drogba, in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Wednesday, wrote: “When your talent and strength starts hurting them and you’re becoming bigger and better, their stupidity arises @romelulukaku.”

Lukaku, who currently plays for Inter Milan on loan from Chelsea, was subbed on in the 69th minute in Turin.

The former Manchester United striker who was subjected to abuse after being shown a second yellow card for his celebrations in front of the home fans when he converted a stoppage-time penalty to help Inter get a 1-1 draw on Tuesday.

The game also saw scuffles break out between both sets of players, resulting in Inter captain Samir Handanovic and Juve midfielder Juan Cuadrado being sent off after the final whistle.
