Cristiano Ronaldo once again showcased his prowess for Al-Nassr in a commanding performance against Pitso Mosimane’s Abha Club.
The veteran footballer, in remarkable form recently, secured his second hat-trick in just three days as Al-Nassr cruised to an impressive 8-0 victory at the Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium.
The 39-year-old began with a stroke of luck, taking advantage of a mistake by Romanian goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu to score from a free-kick within 11 minutes.
Demonstrating his skill, Ronaldo then doubled the lead with a beautifully executed set-piece, lofting the ball over the Abha wall.
He further showcased his versatility by providing an assist to Sadio Mane, extending Al-Nassr’s lead before adding to his own tally with a magnificent lobbed finish for his 65th career hat-trick, bringing his season total to 29 goals from 24 appearances, as per Transfermarkt.
Ronaldo’s masterful assist to Abdulmajeed Al Sulaiheem just before halftime highlighted a near-perfect first half for Al-Nassr.
Despite Ronaldo and Mane being rested in the second half, Al-Nassr’s dominance continued with Abdulrahman Ghareeb and Abdulaziz Al Elewai adding to the goal tally, sealing a resounding 8-0 victory.
This impressive win not only marked Al-Nassr’s largest margin of victory this season but also inflicted Abha’s heaviest defeat of the campaign, surpassing their previous 7-0 loss to Al-Hilal in December.
