A Muslim woman, referred to as Alhaja, stirred a conversation when she collapsed on the roadside after refusing to accept a malt drink from a stranger.
She adamantly declined, citing her fasting obligations during Ramadan as the reason she couldn’t consume anything.
This incident was captured in a video captioned: “She did not drink malt because she is fasting.”
Multiple videos surfaced on social media, captured by a bystander who witnessed the incident firsthand.
In one of the videos shared, it depicted Alhaja collapsing while walking along the road. Promptly, passersby rushed to her aid, employing various medical procedures to revive her, including sprinkling water on her face.
In an effort to stabilize her and prevent further unconsciousness, bystanders offered her a malt drink. However, despite their insistence and pleas, Alhaja steadfastly refused the beverage, persisting in her resolve not to break her fast during Ramadan.
