FC Porto Send Message To Chelsea FC Ahead Of Quarter Finals Clash

The Portuguese were matched with the West Londoners after both sides thrashed out Juventus and Atletico Madrid respectively.

Chelsea will go head to head with FC Porto in quarter finals stage of the UEFA Champions League after their Masterclass show to see off Atletico Madrid.

FC Porto being another side in a pretty good form poses a great threat to the Blues who have also done well since the arrival for the former Paris Saint German boss; Thomas Tuchel.

In their last 8 meetings, Chelsea hold the upper hand as they have won 5 and drawn 1, losing 2 of which both ended 2-1 in favor of the Portuguese at the Estádio do Dragão (The Dragon Stadium).

With Chelsea suddenly became a fierce side, Porto are aware there are greater chances of them returning to Porto in shame after the second leg but the Dragons have at first launched their boldness with a message to their Quarter finals opponents.

Just minutes after the draw was finalized and opponents revealed, Porto took to their twitter page to drop keywords which could be hinting on them making a mark on the sands of time.

The post which quotes “We only owe history what we can add to it” is definitely to be pointing towards sending off Chelsea at the Quarter finals stage.

Chelsea is set to hold their press conference by 1:30pm but Porto has gone ahead to dish out a warning to Stamford Bridge side prior what Tuchel has to say about the draw.

The club’s former goalkeeper, Victor Baia also added voiceprint ahead of the clash stating his side will go into the game with every desire to advance into the next stage.

“We are going to face this with optimism and with the desired to be able to move into the semi-finals,” Baia said.

“We know the DNA of our team, our culture, and we will live up to the demands of a game of this dimension,” he added.

Chelsea are yet to test defeat since Tuchel took over while FC Porto danced into the current stage on aggregate after losing 3-2 at the Allianz Stadium to Juventus.

The game will be held on the 6th/7th of April with the second leg coming on the 13/14th of same month.

Which ever team that triumphs would face off with either Real Madrid or Liverpool in the semis.
